Having logged considerable studio time writing and recording originals, Phil also leads the acoustic duo edition of VanEngel along with Van.

With more than 20 years playing experience “Van” has studied under the watchful eye of notable local guitar wizards Ron Nash and Stan Chan. With a rich heritage, Van’s musical pedigree boasts the likes of his grandfather, violin virtuoso Leon Van Gelder and legendary Blue Note Records recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder (Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, Grant Green, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane). Van has played with various cover bands from a Led Zeppelin Tribute Band in Ohio to local New Jersey based bands Naka Shuto and Giggle Bag. He is currently half of VanEngel’s acoustic duo.

K Bo brings over 20 years experience with both original and cover projects including “Nightmare” (an Alice Cooper theatrical band) and “The Buzz.” Venues include: Tradewinds, Jenks, Stone Pony, Bar A and Atlantic City. K Bo has appeared with bands opening for the likes of Southside Johnny and was a founding member of “The Buzz."

K Bo also highly recommends “Reprise,” the recent release from Danny Vaughn formerly of Tyketto fame. "Reprise" is a box set that packages together Soldiers & Sailors On Riverside & Fearless into one fantastic double CD which features my man Michael Clayton Arbeeny (107 Productions) on drums. Clay, what chops and rhythm! Gotta check out this record.

Craig is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music where he studied classical piano under Boston Pops pianist Bob Winters. Having performed on many film scores, Craig is a veteran of numerous bands; most notably Me and The Boys, where he performed with Phil Engel.
